Abstract:
An investigation into various types of joints that frequently occur in ferrocement construction is reported in this paper. Four different types of joints have been identified and an experimental program was carried out to study the tensile and flexural behavior of these joints. The results of this study are presented and discussed with respect to the cracking characteristics, ductility, and ultimate strength.
