Abstract:
President Pearson points out that the trend of papers published in the Journal is toward the more academic and highly technical type, with the result that many members concerned with actual making of concrete find less of interest in the Journal and in the Institute itself. Broadening the Institute’s ob-jectives and service are recommended as a means of increasing its influence. A Journal section for open-forum discussion is suggested.
