Abstract:
Choosing a forming system is among the most important decisions a contractor has to make since forming and formwork labor represents a significant portion of the cost of any concrete structure. Single lift formwork refers to an established, never changing height of all formwork considered for a project. The use of this type of forming system is reviewed from the concerns of concrete pressure, formwork design, field and job considerations, and productivity.
