Abstract:
The upcoming version of ACI 376 contains new design and detailing requirements for the Thermal Corner Protection (TCP) embedment plate. This presentation will outline and clarify these new requirements. Topics to be discussed will include the basis for the TCP embedment changes and the TCP embedment configuration requirements including loading conditions, requirements for crack width control and TCP embedment plate and stud connector design.
