Abstract:
Many specifications have required meeting test limits for test methods that are more direct indicators of durability that current requirements to meet water to cement ratio and strength. However, it is important to clearly specify details of when test specimens are obtained, conditioned, tested, what failure criteria apply, and what are the consequences in cases of a failure. This presentation will review these issues and provide examples.
