Abstract:
Optimization of design outputs and construction processes lead to improvement in safety, quality, productivity, schedule and overall cost. Design details, innovative selection of materials and construction processes, and extensive planning and sequencing of work all lead to more constructible structures. With this broad view of constructability, this presentation provides a review of current industry guidance documents and project specific examples of constructability problems and solutions.
