Abstract:
In this article a model for the study of the ultimate behaviour of externally prestressed concrete bridges is presented . A finite element program has been developed, including reinforced beam elements, external unbonded prestressing elements and segmental joints elements. The analysis includes mechanical and geometric non linearity. A comparision between the numerical model and some tested beams is also shown.
