Abstract:
Intempo?s Building Structure (Benidorm, Alicante) is presented in this article. Designed with reinforced concrete, it consists in a 52 floor tower above ground level, and three basement-levels (190 m of total height). It?s worth pointing out its peculiar geometric design, which consists in two straight parallel towers, linked at the top with an elliptical reversed cone. In addition of the structure typology?s own features (and its unusual order of magnitude), the basic characteristic of the building lies in the high slenderness, which determines both the compound?s architectural perception and its structural materialization.
