Abstract:
The results of the study on the bond behaviour between concrete and Glass-Fibre Reinforced Polymer bars (GFRP) and Carbon-Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) are presented in this paper. The 91 pull-out concrete cube specimens were prepared according to ACI 440.3R-04 y CSA S806-02. Concrete strength, rebar surface, type of fibre and rebar diameter were the parameter considered in this study. Results from the tests give an estimation of the bond performance when different concrete and reinforcement types are considered. Differences in properties and bond behaviour are reflected in different bond-slip curves response.
