Abstract:
The Tehran ? Karaj bridge is a Railway structure of double track over a future Highway. The crossings characterised by the skew angle of 22,5º (Tracks and Highway) and the necessity of providing sufficient clearance over the Highway in spite of the scarce level difference between Railway tracks and Highway carriageways. The structure is made of two twin bridges, each one has an overall length of 206 m. The spans between pier axis are 46,44 - 51,60 - 51,60 - 46,44 m. There are on both ends, small cantilever spans (5,16 m.) between extreme bearings and earth fill.
