Abstract:
In the paper presented is a proposal for quality control of concrete using IRPS technique and image analysis. The quality is to be estimated by measuring defects that can be identified on plane sections of concrete samples. In a series of experiments applied was an automatic image analysis system, with digital camera as the source of images. The photographs of specimens are taken in ultraviolet light. Described is the IRPS sample preparation technique and the successive steps of the procedure. Proposed is concrete quality classification into four classes of defected structure. Shortly described are parameters of possible defects. Depending on values of those parameters specimens are assigned to classes of quality from o(the best quality), down to 3 (the highest degree of damage).
