Abstract:
One of the hurdles to adoption of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) technology is the widespread belief that UHPC is difficult to mix. This article presents a study on mixing UHPC in common concrete field mixers and ready mixed concrete trucks and compares fresh and hardened properties of UHPC produced using these systems with laboratory mixtures.
