Abstract:
Dealing with the trade-off between media throughput and service life of equipment has been a constant battle in aggregate production. Although conventional round-wire screens are the industry standard, the geometry of the wire itself contributes to ride over and reduced production. A “shaped” wire discussed in this article can solve these issues by optimizing open area over a screen panel and providing greater flow and production with less ride over.
