Abstract:
For economic and environmental reasons, it is increasingly desirable to augment the supply of natural aggregates for concrete production with recycled aggregates derived from crushed hardened concrete or from returned concrete. This article introduces new provisions in ACI 318-19 that set requirements for the use of recycled aggregates in concrete.
