Title: Deployment of Composite Reinforcing
Author(s): Nolan, S., and Nanni, A
Publication: Concrete International
Appears on pages(s): 40-46
Keywords: fiber, reinforcement, standard, specification
Abstract:Although fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement has demonstrated great potential for improving the durability of concrete transportation infrastructure, adoption has been slowed by a lack of a unified strategy for deployment. Citing the successful introduction of prestressed concrete technology as a precedent, the authors call for development, publication, and sharing of standards and design guides for FRP applications.
