Abstract:
Ductility, which is usually defined as a non-dimensional factor, i.e., ratio of ultimate deformation to yield deformation, is a very important issue in modern seismic design practice. There are two kinds of ductility: section ductility - curvature ductility, and system or member ductility - displacement ductility.
