Abstract:
One of the largest and most beautiful churches in the world, St. Peter's in Rome, was begun in 1506 with the laying of the cornerstone by Pope Julius II. However, it would take more than three centuries to complete and be guided in its architectural evolution by famous architects and artists of that time: Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, Moderno, and Bernini.
