Abstract:
Architectural concrete is a term applied to a wide variety of surface treatments for concrete exposed to view. It has been so broadly applied that it is no longer definitive. As a result, questions of interpretation constantly arise. For a reasonably conceived architectural concrete finish to be produced, planning must start during the design development phase, continue during contract document creation, and be verified during construction.
