Abstract:
A combination of design and construction errors caused the partial collapse of a shopping center roof, the torsional cracking of edge beams 0% a parking deck, and the extensive cracking of the corbels of a three-story parking structure. The investigations of the causes of failure and the corrective measures taken in each of these three cases are described. *
