Abstract:
Desired quality in the construction of complex structural concrete projects can best be achieved by a formal quality management program which includes clearly defined respon sibilities and authority for the functions of quality control quality assurance, and quality audit. Each of these funcitons and the roles of the contractor and owner in concrete quality management are presented A formal concrete quality management program developed by a private firm in the U.S. is also presented.
