Abstract:
An evaluation of the frequently used floor diaphragm rigidity, assumption in seismic analysis of reinforced concrete sheawall buildings is presented. Also discussed are two case studies that illustrate the significance and magnitude of possible errors that can result from indiscriminate application of this assumption,*
