Abstract:
Design concepts, mix proportioning considerations, placement techniques, and testing results of steel fiber reinforced concrete for a large encasement of a tur-bine rotor test facility are discussed. The importance of maximum critical fiber content and toughness index measurements for pumpability and burst protection are also reviewed. .
