Abstract:
The variability of the ultimate strength of rectangular cast-in-place reinforced concrete slender columns bent in single curvature was studied, and the effects on this variability of the variations in material strengths and geometric imperfections were determined. The results of this study indicate that the longitudinal steel ratio, the slenderness ratio, and the end eccentricity ratio have a significant influence on the probability distribution properties of the slender column strength.
