Abstract:
In noncongested vertical concrete, the cost of formwork and formwork labor account for 60 percent of the total cost of a concrete structure. Where congestion occurs, the cost of formwork can be even more significant. Formwork in congested areas requires more thorough planning by the contractor, highly skilled workmen, and continuous cooperation between designer and contractor.
