Abstract:
Prestressing, high-tensile wire reinforcement, and wire-fiber mortar were combined to construct a 180 ft (55 m) long fuel oil tanker for the Pertamina Oil Co. Instead of wire mesh commonly used, this combination provided the typical crack attenuation properties of ferrocement while enhancing strength.*
