Abstract:
There is perhaps no other concrete construction method that provides the flexibility of shotcrete, and the process is suitable for a very wide range of different applications. Although some shotcrete contractors perform many different kinds of work, few if any perform all of the possible uses of the procedure. As one would expect, the skills required to produce a quality product vary with, and are dependent upon the individual application. This article contains a brief description of some of the many uses of shotcrete, and comments as to the degree of relative difficulty, and thus skill required for their execution. The listing will begin with those operations which require the least skill, and progress into consistently more difficult areas.
