Abstract:
A new 1700-car, 1 O-level precast concrete parking structure in the north side of Detroit incorporates structural spandrels, precast concrete shearwalls, unusual T-beams, and pretilted, pretwisted double T-beams. This article describes the use and purpose for these unusual precast concrete structural units.
