Abstract:
The benefits of adequate inspection are reviewed: allowing use of advanced design procedures; expedition of construction; lowering of average concrete strengths required; control of yield; and reduction in remedial work. Also discussed are the ways one contractor uses inspection and testing to his advantage and nine suggestions on how to improve testing and inspection in the construction process.
