Abstract:
The unusual shape of the Chaffey Dam spillway is both innovative and functional. The 47 (154 ft) high structure was constructed in three different stages and required more than 32,700 m (107,283 ft) of concrete. The biggest challenge to the contractor was the formwork design and implementation. [Author]
