Abstract:
An empirical equation derived from nonlinear, multi-regression analysis, relating compressive strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity and Schmidt re-bound number of concrete made with natural dense weight aggregate is presented. Correlation coefficients of such equation are generally better than 0.9. Hence, using the combined method, it is possible to evaluate compressive strength of in situ concrete if the type of aggregate used in concrete is known. [Authors]
