Abstract:
Discusses methods for and mechanisms of air entrainment in concrete mixes. Methods include use of aluminum and hydrogen peroxide for entrainment of hydrogen or oxygen, respectively; use of cement dispersing agents; perhaps protective colloids. Date are reported to record the relation of air content to durability as determined by freezing and thawing.
