Abstract:
Contracting for trenchless technology is a complex process, mainly because such work is performed underground where physical conditions are difficult to predict. Trenchless techniques are frequently selected because they provide lower life-cycle costs and minimum environmental, social, and business impact. Total quality (TQ) methodology may reduce overall project financing costs and promote better working relationships at the job level, improving the construction process and performance.
