Abstract:
Design of utility poles of circular section constructed of reinforced concrete and prestressed pipe, which are subjected to relatively high bending moments and to negligibleaxial Forces and shear stresses, is considered. Forces act-ing on simple, corner, and other poles are considered, as well as how to distribute the reinforcement to obtain best results. Design Formulas are suggested.
