Abstract:
The reconstruction of the I-15/U.S. 95 core interchange in Las Vegas is the first major project in the western U.S. to use a precast concrete segmental span-by-span construction design as the predominant structure type. The design was developed using four to five span continuous frame structures with each span length around 40 m (130 ft). Due to the aggressive construction schedule, the four balanced cantilever spans use alternative erection method using two cranes from ground level
