Abstract:
The schedule, dealing with the elements, and protecting workers are concerns on every project. When the structure is a skyscraper in a busy, congested city, however, these concerns take on even more importance. Due to these concerns, the contractor for the 72-story Legacy at Millennium Park in Chicago, IL, chose to use self-climbing protection screens to create a safe, comfortable working environment where workers could move about freely without fear of falling, while being shielded from Chicago’s high winds.
