Abstract:
The results of an experimental program on coupling beams subjected to cyclic loading are presented. Ten specimens, scaled down to 1:2, with five different reinforcement layouts and two different shear ratios (equal to [eq]s = 0.50 and 0.83) have been tested. An attempt is made to classify the performance of the specimens according to the ductility they exhibited. The validity of various ductility criteria is also discussed.
