Abstract:
Diagnosis of the problem – Cases will be discussed to emphasize the importance of being able to diagnose the origin of the deterioration of concrete structures. • Recommended studies – Presentation of different available tests (destructive and non-destructive) and their benefits and uses. • Quality Processes – Importance of verifying the repairs carried out, to guarantee the owner the repair. • Repair: Evaluation and repair of the Capitol Dome – Studies, tests and recommendations for repairing the concrete domes of the Capitol, novel techniques, injections, installations of Terracotta ornamentation.
