Abstract:
Concrete resistivity measurements provide valuable information about the quality and durability of concrete. They can be used for mix design approval and for evaluating the quality of construction. However, a simultaneous measurement of pore solution resistivity is needed to provide an accurate measure of the formation factor and mass transport in concrete (graph). This talk highlights the challenges associated with measuring or estimating the pore solution resistivity and introduces a new embedded sensor technology designed to provide a reliable, real-time measurements of pore solution resistivity.
