Abstract:
This presentation discusses the influence of print orientations and infill geometry on the structural performance of 3D printed walls made of plain and steel fiber reinforced concretes. Appropriate layer dimensions are chosen, considering buildability and construction rate. The response to compressive and lateral loads on the wall panels are discussed with an emphasis on the interfaces that are critical in failure under different loading conditions. Specimen geometry-dependent finite element models complement the experiment results by providing an understanding of the behavior under various loading conditions.
