Abstract:
Members of ASCC’s Constructability Committee will present examples and solutions for common constructability issues created by rebar congestion. The presentation will review successful methods to incorporate constructability allowances and tolerances into the reinforcement design, including recommended provisions to ACI 318 Code and Commentary that require the reinforcement designer make allowances for tolerances on constructability factors such as aggregate size and vibrator placement, and location of embeds and penetrations.
