Abstract:
The new I-74 River Bridge was a project with immense scale, logistical hurdles, and unique concrete challenges. We’ll discuss the dichotomy of simultaneous mass and self-consolidating concrete requirements and the innovative tactics used to overcome them as well as a host of other factors such as barging, liquid nitrogen, blue concrete, and protection of endangered species in the project area.
