Abstract:
The article presents a graphical tool for calculating the minimum depth of footings and reinforcement ratio to satisfy the new one-way shear equations in ACI 318-19 for members without transverse reinforcement. It allows for the design of a footing in less than 1 minute for flexure and one-way shear.
