Abstract:
As fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement is being implemented in concrete structures in the United States, there is a need for consensus-based, well-established, and well-recognized FRP-related standards and specifications. The article focuses on documents currently available and adopted by various departments of transportation and building officials as well as the process from certification to field implementation of FRP reinforcement in concrete structures.
