Abstract:
Over the past 30 years, a wide range of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) products and solutions have been developed and implemented on hundreds of structural and architectural projects in numerous countries. In 2011, ACI’s Technical Activities Committee approved formation of ACI Committee 239, Ultra-High Performance Concrete. This article notes key features of UHPC and summarizes activities of Committee 239, including publication of ACI 239R-18 a report intended to raise awareness of the performance and potential value of UHPC.
