Abstract:
The article discusses design and construction challenges of the 55-story Emirates Pearl Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. The building includes a podium with five levels of underground parking and five levels of various amenities. Its tower includes 60 luxury apartments and a hotel. Tower floors share the same elliptical outline, but from Level 1 to the roof, the floor plans undergo a total rotation of 25 degrees and the perimeter columns shift a total of 21.6 m (71 ft).
