Abstract:
Limestone powder substitution for cement is investigated using Powers’ model to estimate volumetric phase fractions as functions of starting water-cement ratio and degree of hydration. Theoretical replacement levels for low water-cement ratio concretes are discussed, and experimental data showing the effects of limestone replacement on compressive strength are reviewed.
