Abstract:
Diamond polishing is now considered a viable alternative to conventional finishes for new or refurbished concrete floors. Recommendations are provided for project specifications, including concrete strength, floor flatness prior to polishing, curing methods, and gloss level. A mockup is suggested as a way to evaluate the effects of aggregates on the appearance of the polished surface. Recommendations are also provided for routine maintenance, cleaning, and reburnishing.
