Abstract:
High-performance concrete is a term used worldwide to identify concrete mixtures with several enhancements such as ease of placement, compaction without segregation, high strength, and improved durability. Of primary interest in this application were ease of placement (no vibration required) and high resistance to segregation. Highly durable, homogeneous, and labor-saving concrete structures can be constructed by using flowable concrete for the heavily reinforced lining of a shield tunnel.
