Abstract:
This article, a photo essay, details the remodeling of Mexico's National Auditorium in Mexico City. The original was in appalling condition. It did not have rest rooms or comply with any safety regulations. It did not have a lobby or foyer. There were places that were 25 m (eight stories) high. It did not have a stage or meet the requirements of the handicapped. An in-depth analysis was performed to determine what was worth preserving.
