Abstract:
Hong Kong now boasts of the site for the world's tallest reinforced concrete building, recently completed in less than 4 years, possibly a record for rapid construction. High-strength concrete, top-down construction for the foundation, a 4-day cycle for concreting the floors, and pumping to a height of 308 m (1000 ft), also believed to be a world record, were among the features of building this 78-story, triangular-shaped office tower on the north shore of Hong Kong.
